Android gamers, do you feel lack of having a console type controller for your Android Smartphone or Tablet to experience better gaming. We’ve got something for that too! OnLive just announced their Universal Wireless Controller at Qualcomm’s Uplinq yesterday which allow to connect and get console kind controls on any OnLive-compatible device including OnLive’s own MicroConsole, PC, Mac, Vizio TVs with VIA Plus, and most importantly Android smartphones and tablets. OnLive universal wireless controller supposed works on some secret type of wireless technology which company didn’t want to let us know yet but also confirmed it isn’t Bluetooth. But also there will be a USB dongle for use with PCs and non-Vizio TVs.
The engadget folks got themselves to play a brief time with OnLive universal wireless controller paired with a HTC Flyer tablet and according them it was good on the Flyer as it is on a PC, with little lag and the same quality graphics. Besides these devices OnLive is expecting to join many more and also have 50 million Blu-ray players and 25 million internet TVs shipped with the service on board by the end of the year. The controller also got tight Facebook integration which will allow user to launch games directly from their profile pages including automatic “Brag Clip” video uploads (to share your greatest gaming hits) and wall posts to let your friends know and even allow them to join.
